Bearings for Brose Aluminum and Magnesium engine repair. Also used in Specialized Turbo Levo, Specialized Kenevo, Specialized Tero, Specialized Vado bicycles. Engines known as Specialized Turbo 1.1, Specialized Turbo 1.2, Specialized Turbo 1.3, Specialized Turbo 2.1.
The bearings have various manufacturers. The number PLBXXXX is for reference.

This kit includes all bearings and one-way clutches required for a complete overhaul of Brose motors with plastic or metal housings. It solves common issues such as creaking noises, chainring or crank slippage, loss of traction, or failure of the internal sprag clutches.
Both one-way clutches (sprag bearings) must always be replaced together to ensure correct operation and long-term durability.
Brose motors, also used in many Specialized e-bikes, often suffer from water ingress and clutch wear. This kit allows a professional restoration of the internal transmission system. The inclusion of the improved PLB20125 bearing with additional seal increases water resistance compared to the original design.
These components are used in various Specialized models as well.
Always replace both one-way clutches at the same time.

Recommended lubricants
Use grease without solid additives such as PTFE, Teflon, MoS₂, ceramic additives, etc.
Greases containing such additives must not be used on the one-way clutches, as they can cause malfunction or premature failure.
Installation / Usage Instructions

Always replace both sprag clutches together.

To access the pulley clutch, remove the PLB20123 bearing and reinstall after assembly.

Heat the pulley gear to remove safely the bearing race.

Belt torque: 0.2 Nm (requires the Brose belt tension tool).

Do not use greases containing PTFE, MoS₂, ceramic powders, or similar additives.

Cranks spinning freely without driving the chainring

Loss of internal engagement “clicks”
Always replace the belt if it has not been changed within the last 1,000 km.
