The PLB20127 bearing is the sprag clutch bearing located on the axle of Brose Alu and Brose S Mag motors. Its function is to disconnect crank movement when the motor is engaged. For this reason, its construction and dimensions are critical for the overall efficiency of the drive unit. Conversely, when the cranks rotate forward, the gearing engages the transmission with zero lag.
The precision of the bearing and the quality of the sprag system are essential to avoid noise, slipping, and loss of efficiency.

Metal cage – bearings widely used in many repairs, with good quality and durability. Origin: China.

Reinforced plastic cage (OEM) – reinforced bearings from the original manufacturer of the Brose motor bearings, RINGSPANN. They feature improved finish and tighter dimensions. Origin: Germany.
